Towing a Large 5th Wheel RV | Full Time RV Truck and Towing!

Average: 5 (1 vote)

When we moved into our RV almost a year ago, it was our first time EVER towing a 5th wheel. A VERY large 44 foot 5th Wheel at that! It took some getting used to, and we made a few mistakes along the way, but we wanted to share what we've learned. In this video we discuss all the specs of our truck and demonstrate some of the most common maneuvers.

Good evening all, I wanted to say thanks for this great video. While I have done some aircraft towing in the past but in wide open spaces, I havent done any towing where the area was confined with such a large 43foot rig. We just picked up our 394M last Friday and towed it home.  Our home here in Tacoma Washington has alley access to our backyard where our rig would be parked. We have a 30foot opening to get it in but have to make a hard 90 degree turn to get it in there from the alley. The part where you showed how to pull forward and turn, move backward and turn the opposite way then continue back and forth while the rig doesnt really move until you are almost 90 degrees was a great tip.  While I didnt get it in there on the first try I did make it with a couple back and forths.  Thanks again for the great video and keep them coming.   Bob and Billiejo Hirt
